nice but ineffective launch video

  • shots are high quality (could be AI though?)
  • some good sound fx and musical moments

but

  • 10 seconds before any dialog or seeing any product (and its a calendar notif, so couldnt even count it) is way too long
  • then its another 8 seconds before another product moment. so slow.
  • product comes off very fake. notification UI is off, unclear what she's speaking into or listening to, and they never show an actual shot of the phone
  • story is a bit incoherent and boring. could do way better than a girl going to a party
  • bad scroll stopper. painting is boring. nothing keeps my attention.
  • "find time for the things you love" is a very prime time TV generic slogan. may work on normies but not folks on X
  • how are you going to announce an iOS and android app and not show the app??

this is a good example of when highly produced launch video goes wrong by missing the fundamentals

but the biggest L is not showing the actual product. absolutely insane to announce a mobile app and not show it.

in a world where everyone is working on literally the same product, sophisticated audiences don't have time for videos like this that look like they could be for any other product.

if you don't show your product, people lose trust.

show the product plz.
