- love the emphasis on Travis' story vs the company
- clips tell a concrete story
- music builds nicely
- very cool effects - love the TV and the phone call audio
but
- the drop really doesn't hit as much as it could. can tell a music producer wasn't behind this.
- story unfolds kinda slow
- not sure what the story with the bubble in the beginning is. should have had that style persist throughout the video more
TK is legendary so you have people's attention immediately with a fundraise announcement about him,
the miss here was on sound and story.
on sound, it really does pay to have a music producer handle music. they know how to build energy, balance instruments, etc that totally change the vibe of the video for the better
on story, I think I would have hit people with heavier nostalgia and heavier emotion.
TK did get lots of nos, but he also had one of the most tragic weeks anyone could have with his mother passing away in a boating accident and him getting kicked out of uber. moments like that are unforgettable and frame the energy that TK has to keep pushing as hard as he is.
would have also drawn a parallel to early uber and his new company. could do this taking an image or something from early uber and transforming it to an image of the new co. tells the story "were going big again"
last is this could have been a tasteful op for AI to animate very old photos of the early uber team. or even doing an anime reenactment of TKs journey.
oh also he's amazing at wii tennis. that would have been fun to throw in.
still a great video. TK is the man
