clean but cookie cutter launch video
- product positioning is actually really smart. "AI head of content" is a clear, specific pitch
- admitting the post was written with Stanley is a nice meta flex
- clean animations per usual for this agency
- very optimized script per usual for this agency
- beta tester social proof with real names is good
but
- this script is very similar structure, beats, animation style of a handful of other videos I've seen (likely the same agency).
- John is an incredible content creator. he makes great stuff on his own. so why does this look and sound like everyone elses launch video?
- the "drop a reply" engagement hook at the end feels tacked on
- 2+ minutes is long for a launch video that doesnt develop or surprise you at any point
- "50% engagement increase" is a strong claim with no context. 50% of what baseline?
- music and pacing feel like stock agency template
was a little surprised to see John do this kind of video because he's already a mega talented creator.
it is definitely helpful to work with agencies who specialize in launch videos like this because its just a different form factor you may not fully be able to nail on your own.
but its really important in today's world of endless launch videos to leverage whatever talent or creative you have to do something unique.
this product is so good it could have done well with any video format but was just left wanting something more here.
(edited original because their product Stanley wrote it and it was brutal rip)
