extremely cringe launch video
- good to see experts in the video
- good to see actual UI
but
- emotional music + awkward speakers makes the video feel like a joke
- one speaker has bad sound quality
- where's the founder
- cheesy script
- no idea if these guys are being replaced by AI or use the corgi product or work at corgi
this was a huge L.
Corgi's clients are startups and the speakers in the video are the furthest from relatable to startup people.
the music is cringeworthy emotional stock music and coupled with the awkward out-of-place speakers, you're wondering when the punchline is gonna hit or if this is AI.
it was the right move to have credible people talking in this video, but we need context. just a line like "at corgi we have 30 top claims adjusters on staff" from the founder in the beginning would have helped a lot.
but the killer was the vibe.
if you have customers or partners in a video that are this awkward, 1. do interview style (reading a script makes it sound more off) and 2. limit screentime
send your video to 5 friends before you publish and ask for unsolicited advice. a good friend will warn you before publishing something like this
sorry nico and team! the product looks great tho.
