- color grading is stunning
- feels quirky but professional
- sound fx and music is perfect
- love love the transition with the painting
- beautiful use of typography
- screaming part is great
- good use of actual UI
- nice and short
but
- "mornings with chrome" didn't register immediately. would have shown the logo somewhere or something.
- would have used more recognizable notification sounds (didn't recognize most)
josh / browser co is the king of video. hands down the best of the best. if you want to create great videos just study them and hire whoever they worked with.
too much to comment on what is great about this, but the big thing they do really well is energy management.
just like an amazing DJ uses slower/faster happier/more sad music to bring their audience on a journey, josh and co do that here very well.
starts calm, then gets chaotic (VERY chaotic), then the music stops and you enter the calm. you associate their brand with calm because it is the resolution to the chaos.
increasing volume + more distinct sounds + rising pitches + faster clips + minor or discordant music = chaos
minimalism across the board and major / soft music = release
use this!
