clever launch video

  • love the over exaggerated "excited to announce" line in the beginning. makes fun of all the launches
  • really good editing
  • really good music choice - the swing dance + quick takes trope is perfectly executed
  • great camera quality
  • customer videos are great
  • decent acting from the team

but

  • way too long to say what boardy pro is
  • way too long to give the social proof "network controls $150B"
  • should remind people what boardy is
  • customer videos could have clarified how boardy PRO is great vs just boardy
  • missed op leaning into the agent / personification side of boardy, which is naturally viral

no matter what you do in a launch video, you need to say what it is and why it matters clearly (IQ 60) as quickly as possible.

also if this isn't your first launch, you still should reintroduce your product, no matter how well known you are - unless you're a public company or mega viral on X all the time.

if you have an agent company like boardy, I think the best move is to really lean into the personification and humanness of the product.

boardy is a pretty magical experience and showing a recording of a text convo or phone call would have been much more viral than any of the scenes in this video.

overall very well executed from a production perspective though.
