bad fundraise announcement video

• I guess its kinda sprezzatura

but

• cheesy animation
• under developed
• lame font and color choice

ok so you don't have a ton of time to put a fancy launch video together so why not do something like this?

you can only announce a fundraise once. and if its this large, it is a big deal and big op to get some eyeballs on your company.

arcade's customers are DEFINITELY on X (hence why their competitors are so content-forward), but even if they weren't their prospective hires and investors are.

so this video was a major L in terms of appealing to them. it looks half-assed and out of touch. forces the money to speak for itself, but with bad marketing, even the fundraise feels questionable.

if I needed to pull something together last min like this I would do one of 2 things:

mega sprezzatura - have the founder record a vertical video on their phone while walking somewhere and say "some big news today. after XYZ metric about customers or rev, we raised $ XX from A, B, and C to MISSION. things have been moving so fast we didn't have time for a proper video, but you can check out WEBSITE for more"

simple graphic video with GOOD MUSIC - if you just had a nice font with a few simple messages similar to above on a black background and with a cool hip hop song in the the background ending on the logo and the URL it would be way better than this.
